The final four acts for Barn Dance VII, Ireland’s only Good Friday BYOB festival, have been revealed! This year not only will we be giving you an exciting brand new secret location just 45 minutes outside of Dublin we will also be bringing you some jaw dropping acts to ensure that this will most definitely be the best Good Friday EVER experienced.
From the best in house music from World No. 1 DJ Jamie Jones, to indie rock’s Hermitage Green, to up and coming acts like Come On Live Long, as the rest of the country indulges in self-deprivation and boredom – you know where you need to be.
Berlin born, Fritz Kalkbrenner is celebrated as a fully-fledged soul boy with diverse musical influences that include hip hop, techno, electro-beats and house. With three astounding albums under his belt Fritz no longer stands in his brother, Paul’s shadow, but is celebrated for a soul sound all of his own. Deep House DJ and Echo Critic’s Choice Award nominee, Fritz has been non-stop gracing clubs and festivals all over the world to eagerly awaiting audiences.
The incredible King Kong Company bring a savage club-sandwich mix of dance beats, reggae vibes and dance licks to awaiting ears while setting the night alight with retina blowing live visuals. This seven piece band from Waterford, are best described as LCD Soundsystem meets The Bloody Beetroots who create music to destroy the dance floors!
Dublin based artist, producer and founder of vinyl label Signal Code Aaron Costello and Dublin DJ Doug Cooney will complete what in now an outstanding line-up of both international and home-grown acts for this year’s Barn Dance festival.
Barn Dance who have teamed up with The Abstract Agency to assist with the booking of acts are very proud of this year’s Good Friday line-up. Jamie Deasy, co-promoter for Barn Dance said today, “Each year we are getting bigger and better, not only is this year’s venue the best so far but we have taken the line up to another level.
